Hip-hop stars: Cher Lloyd is tip-top!
NEW X Factor favourite Cher Lloyd hasn't just got the backing of Cheryl Cole - the hip-hop world is tipping her to win the show.
Stars on both sides of the Atlantic have thrown their support behind the 17-year-old since she belted out rapper Soulja Boy's track Turn My Swag On last Saturday.
Even US star Soulja Boy voiced his support - writing on Twitter: "Bless this girl's heart" - and posting a link to her performance.
But Soulja Boy isn't Cher's only celebrity fan.
American singer Keri Hilson - whose own remix of Turn My Swag On inspired Cher - said online: "She def turned her swag on AND Simon liked? I approve!"
Even Boy George voiced his support for the teen. He tweeted: "How great was little Cher?"
English rapper Chipmunk exclaimed: "Cher Lloyd has got that swaag! Ok I'm into X Factor now. It was dead till yesterday.
"They needed a lil Urban Twist to it! Swag!"
US singer Ciara who has performed with Justin Timberlake, also gave her backing.
After posting a link to the teen's audition clip, she exclaimed: "It's dope to see someone perform a song like this on the X Factor!"
When Cher Tweeted back to say thank you, Ciara replied: "You're welcome love! Good luck! We all start somewhere. Keep believing! Dreams do come true!"
Last year's champ Joe McElderry added his support, exclaiming: "I loved Cher from XF!"
Bookies have made the teen from Malvern, Worcs, the show's new favourite, with Ladbrokes offering odds of 5/1 for her to triumph.
Meanwhile, her audition clip had been watched more than 850,000 times by last night.
Cher was enjoying her new celebrity status yesterday when she appeared on ITV's This Morning show.
She said: "I feel amazing. All of a sudden people know who I am. It's a bit weird because you're walking down the street and people ask, 'Are you from X Factor?'. It's so odd."
And the teen admitted she didn't realise she was pulling funny expressions on Saturday's show.
Support ... Soulja Boy
She said: "I can't sing with my mouth shut so I have to try to get it out somehow. I probably make some really weird faces. I'm really sorry - I don't mean to."
Overwhelmed Cher later wrote on her own Twitter page: "You know what's mad? Some of the biggest in the business are talkin about lil' old me."
X Factor guest judge Natalie Imbruglia yesterday predicted Cheryl Cole will now do everything in her power to mentor the girls' category - so she can team up with Cher.
Natalie said: "Louis was saying that Cher was reminding him of a little Cheryl and I think Cheryl has an affinity with her, so she'll be fighting for that category."
Cher said she was thrilled at the news, admitting Cheryl was her idol. She said: "I don't copy her but I take tips from her because I think she's amazing."
After Cher's performance on Saturday, Cheryl, 27, said: "You are right up my street! You are actually my favourite audition so far."
